Collecting
Collector's Corner

The late Ian Fleming, novelist and creator of the fictional James Bond, was both a lifelong book collector and a pioneer in a specialised type of collecting that became popular as a result of a 1963 exhibition entitled Printing and The Mind of Man. The exhibition focused on books that had a significant impact on the way in which we see the world, and covered all fields of human endeavour.

Rare manuscripts
Although there has historically been a demand for rare manuscripts that exceeds supply, causing substantial increases in value, there is no guarantee that this will be the case in the future. Demand for rare manuscripts of a particular area or type may be affected by regional or world trends and tastes.
