Collecting
Collector's Corner

Collectors have traditionally focused on brands like Rolex, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Breguet, because they offer great complications, beautiful designs and have limited editions that make them rarer. In April 2007, Antiquorum opened a new collecting front with a 2-day themed sale ‘OMEGAMANIA’ featuring Omega watches.

During the 1960s – 1970s, Rolex's Daytona model was originally not a commerical success. During the 1980s this model was ‘discovered’ by the Italians who are known for their love of sporty watches and who were inspired by the 'Daytona' name. The ‘Paul Newman’ brand was originally named by Antiquorum and has maintained Italian interest and produced a trend that continues today.

Vintage pocket watch
Although there has historically been a demand for vintage watches that exceeds supply, causing substantial increases in value, there is no guarantee that this will be the case in the future. Demand for vintage watches of a particular type may be affected by regional or world trends and tastes.
